On the Verge

I would make a series of posters.

One would have the tag line, "Vaya con dios," and there would be an oh-so-suave man dress in all white. However, instead of being an peach color, i'd have him more tan like.

For the second poster, the tag line would be. "There are two sorts of folks in this world. The sort you drink with, and the sort you eat with. Cannibals you drink with."
The background image would be foresty, with a path cut, and a blimp/airplane looking object hanging off the side of a cliff.

as for the last one, the tag line would be, "The splash of galaxies across the night sky always brings out the phenomenologist in me." As for the image, there would be objects floating in space. maybe a clock, a pilth, dates of times they crosses through, a motorcylce. You name it.

And i believe that Mr. Coffee is "The One", not necessarily our god, but the only being that "controls" everything.

  1. I like your poster ideas and tag lines. My favorite is the second one because it is true. They are some kind of people to drink with and some people you just eat with. Good Job!

  2. Your poster ideas seem really cool and visually appealing, but I'm very interested to know why you chose those images and the taglines to go with them. I'm sure your reasons are just as interesting as the posters themselves. Also, why is it that you think Mr. Coffee is the being that controls everything? How does he exert this control? I'd really like to hear your argument for this. Personally, I saw him as being more of an agent of death rather than an all-powerful being.

    1. For the first one, i choose "Vaya con Dios" becuase of the amount of times it's said throughout the play. Translated it means "go with God", so that's one reason why i thought Mr. Coffee would be a god-like figure. I would want him to be a darker color, mainly because i've never seen white coffee. I may have been taking the whole, Mr. Coffee name a bit too literal.

AS for the second one, i choose that tag line because it's a saying that really stood out to me throughout the entire play, i was actually laughing a good bit after reading that line. i choose the image becuase it's what came to my mind when i thought about the canibal and all that was said.

And finally,i wanted to incorporated the feeling of time having no true dimenision, and being vast, so i went with the outer-space image, and objects floating around to give it that type of feeling.
